A Circle Outside
A Circle Outside is a novel about a household of lesbian feminist witches living in a women-only commune. They struggle with the concerns of young women: toxic friendships, self-doubt, parents, smashing Patriarchy, and how to take out the garbage. There’s a sweet romance and a dreadful romance. Also a ghost.
The women in A Circle Outside believe that the only real magic is self-transformation.
Although the story takes place in the early 1980s, it is not a history, but an endowment.
